Sema Approved Racking Inspectors (SARI"S)
Apex Storage Limited provide an excellent SEMA Approved Racking Inspection service using our in house SARI racking inspectors. Customers receive a detailed rack inspection report together with the rack inspection survey sheets clearly identifying rack damage and areas of concern. We also provide a racking repair service to compliment the rack inspections.

HEALTH AND SAFETY
The latest Health and Safety guide HSG76 states:
Inspect racking regularly to make sure it is repaired and maintained properly and is safe.
You should use three types of inspection:
1. Immediate reporting of damage and defects
2. Visual inspections at regular intervals
3. Expert inspections carried out at regular intervals by a competent person
In addition, you need a rack safety inspection to satisfy yourselves that your racking conforms with the current guidelines identified by SEMA (Storage Equipment Manufacturers Association).
You need a rack safety inspection where fork lift truck movements are frequent. Generally, the greater the activity the greater the need for inspections.
You need a rack safety inspection to identify damaged components. Damaged or missing components significantly increase the risk of racking collapse.
You need a rack safety inspection to provide evidence to outside bodies that you take the safety of your personnel seriously and take the appropriate action to provide a safe working environment including replacing damaged racking components.
You need a rack safety inspection to ensure your racking remains serviceable and fit for the purpose to facilitate the continued and effective operation of your business.

Front Face Damage
Damage to the front face of the pallet racking upright combined with twisting to the lower leg section considerably weakens the frame. This upright and subsequent run of racking is vulnerable to a collapse.
Side Face Damage
Damage to the side face of the pallet racking upright combined with twisting to the lower leg section considerably weakens the frame. This upright and subsequent run of racking is vulnerable to a collapse.
